Rex Dodge
Rex Dodge Home Inspections is owned and operated by Rex Dodge, a Portland-area Certified Professional Inspector (CPI). After working for several years as a general contractor, Rex decided to put his skills and knowledge to good use by helping people navigate one of life’s largest investment’s – a home. As a home inspector, he enjoys building relationships with buyers, sellers, and owners and becoming a trusted resource they can return to over and over again with their home questions and inspection needs. In his free time, Rex spends his days with his wife, Janet, of 34 years, hunting, fishing, restoring old Chevy pickups, hiking, mountain biking, and backpacking.

Before becoming a home inspector, Rex worked in contracting, outdoor construction, and landscaping. He uses his knowledge and hands-on experience completing remodels, additions, and renovations to assist home buyers and owners as they navigate their own repairs and upgrades. The clients that work with him have come to depend on the unbiased and detailed information he provides, both during the inspection and after. Rex prides himself on customer service and will be there for you every step of the way as you turn a prospective property into the home you will live in for years to come.
Specializing in Older Homes
While working as a general contractor, Rex specifically focused on updating and renovating older homes from the ‘20s and ‘30s. Unlike a lot of other home inspectors in the area, he knows how to spot the difference between a potential issue and something displaying regular age and wear while inspecting older buildings.
